1. Introduction

The Infectious Diseases Journal of Pakistan (Infect Dis J Pak) follows ethical and legal copyright guidelines to safeguard authors' rights and ensure the credibility of its published material. This Copyright Policy defines the obligations and privileges of authors, the journal, and those who use its content.

 2. Submission and Copyright Agreement

2.1 Originality Requirement: The Infectious Diseases Journal of Pakistan (Infect Dis J Pak) adheres to ethical and copyright laws to protect authors' rights and maintain the integrity of its publications. This Copyright Policy outlines the responsibilities and rights of authors, the journal, and readers using Infect Dis J Pak content.

2.2 Author Copyright and Licensing: Authors retain the copyright to their work but grant Infect Dis J Pak the exclusive right to publish, reproduce, and distribute the work under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial License (CC BY-NC). This license allows others to share the work with proper attribution, provided it is for non-commercial purposes.

2.3 Content Ownership on Infect Dis J Pak Website: All content created and published by Infect Dis J Pak (such as editorials, announcements, or non-article materials) remains the property of Infect Dis J Pak. However, for articles and materials submitted by external authors, copyright remains with the authors, and submission or publication by Infect Dis J Pak does not transfer copyright ownership to the journal.

2.4 Proofreading and Finalization: Authors must help editors with final proofreading before their articles are published. Even if an article is accepted, the Infect Dis J Pak editorial board reserves the right to reject its publication.

 3. Data Sharing Policy

Infect Dis J Pak requires data generated by research to be made openly and publicly available upon publication. This includes clinical trials, which must have a data-sharing plan as per ICMJE guidelines

 4. Use and Distribution

4.1 Permissions for Non-Commercial Use: Individuals are permitted to reproduce, share, exhibit, and present the work, as well as develop adaptations of it, as long as it is for non-commercial use and proper credit is provided to the original authors and the journal.

4.2 Commercial Use: Any commercial use of the work requires additional permissions from the authors.

 5. Attribution and Citation

5.1 Attribution Requirement: Users should correctly credit the original source by mentioning the author's name, article title, and publication (Infect Dis J Pak), following the terms of the Creative Commons License.

5.2 Citation Guidelines: Proper citation guidelines as specified by Infect Dis J Pak must be followed when citing articles from the journal.

 6. Copyright Infringement

6.1 Reporting Infringement: Authors and users are encouraged to report any suspected copyright infringement to the Infect Dis J Pak editorial office (infectdisjpak@gmail.com).
