IDJP Scope

The Infectious Diseases Journal of Pakistan (Infect Dis J Pak) is dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly work that significantly advances knowledge in the field of infectious diseases and medical microbiology. The journal welcomes various manuscript types, including original research (randomized controlled trials, meta-analyses, systematic reviews, quasi-experimental studies, case-control studies, cohort studies, and cross-sectional analytical studies), review articles, case reports, discussions on recent advancements, novel techniques, debates, adverse drug reports, current medical practices, audit reports, evidence-based studies, short communications, brief reports, and letters to the editor.

To ensure academic relevance, the journal does not accept studies older than five years at the time of submission. Infect Dis J Pak also upholds strict publication ethics, rejecting fragmented or redundant publications from a single research project, commonly known as "salami slicing." The submission of multiple articles covering interrelated aspects of the same study is also strongly discouraged, ensuring the integrity and originality of published research.
